Advanced Diploma in Agricultural Management

GFAC adopts the NQA credit definition: one (1) NQF credit = ten (10) notional hours of learning. This
includes all contact time (lectures and practical sessions), self-directed study, assessment
preparation, fieldwork, and work-integrated learning. The total Advanced Diploma programme
comprises 360 credits, equating to 3,600 notional hours of learning spread across six semesters over
three academic years.

Assessment Policy

GFAC employs a continuous and comprehensive assessment strategy aligned with NQA and NCHE
best practices. Assessment is designed to evaluate both theoretical knowledge and practical
competence.

Portfolio of Evidence (PoE): Collection of student work demonstrating competence across a module
Written Examinations: Sit-down examinations held at end of each semester under invigilated conditions
Practical Assessments: Hands-on evaluation of farm skills, laboratory work, and field activities
Project Work: Research proposals, agribusiness plans, and capstone projects
Work-Integrated Learning Reports: Structured logbooks, supervisor evaluations, and oral presentations.
